COMPUTER DESK PROJECT |
Here's my Computer
desk , which is constructed out of Kitchen
Cabinets like our Entertainment system
Cabinet is....
I built this desk to eventually go into our
big 5th wheel travel trailer .
She's
24-1/2 inches deep by 6 feet wide by 80 inches high and made out of some
really nice Oak kitchen cabinets we bought from
Kitchen Cabinets Depot
Construction Details....
Just like the
entertainment system , all the upper cabinet
sections are bolted together and then bolted
down to the desks laminated top ,which is
screwed to the bottom 2 cabinets .
For a much better explanation of how I went
about this check out our

This pictures details the
high-quality full-extension Slides I used for my key board tray
and for my big Epson Graphics printer . I used simple pre-made
commercial shelves ,cut down a bit on both slides . |

 |
I used one of the bottom
cabinets to hold my computer and didn't put anything else in it
because I want plenty of air-flow going on .... |
|
 |
To help the heat escape
from the computers cabinet , I cut a hole in the cabinet and
covered it up with a pretty Brass resister cover.
The little switch on the cabinet runs a small 12-volt light
key-board light. |

The other bottom cabinet
holds my scanner , small printer & external storage drives which
are all on slide-out shelves ... |
