The Bulgarian
live Yogurt culture can be re-cultured . How you
do this is , make your original Batch and remove
approx.1/2 cup of yogurt and store that in a clean
container in the fridge. When it's time to make a
new batch of yogurt , go through the process above
and instead of adding the culture to the milk ,just
add the yogurt you saved for this. You can keep
doing this re-culturing for quite a number of
batches .
But you'll eventually reach a point when
the 'Mother' culture gets weakened and you'll want
to start a brand new Batch.
