OUR GPS AND MAPPING PROGRAM

SITE CATEGORY - PROJECTS -  OUR LAPTOPS GPS SYSTEM
I've been wanting to get our Dell laptop setup with a decent GPS and mapping system for some time now.....
So after some searching and researching .... I found this neat little
US GlobalSat USB GPS Receiver/antenna online.
Its nice and small ...and is designed to attach to the dash of the rig or up on the roof if you'd like .(magnet mount)
It wasn't cheap at $79.95 plus shipping from
GPS CITY...but after using it a bit I'm really happy with it.
For our mapping program I went with Microsoft's 'Streets & Trips'....because I'm mostly familiar with the software program.
I picked up the 'Full' version from Amazon.com for $33.99 plus there's a $10.00 rebate on it....

I first loaded 'Streets & Trips' (re-booted) ...then loaded the 'drivers' for the GPS unit...shut-down & restarted then plugged the GPS into a USB Port ,opened up Streets & Trips ....and Lo & Behold it found our Location ...Way Cool .more to come soon.....
