OUR LITTLE TRAILER

Here are a few pictures of the new Pace Outback trailer we bought for just under $2000.00 . It has a 6 X 10 ' box which has just the right amount of space we need to store the things we need to carry along with us .... we had the wonderfully nice folks over at Blaser Trailer Sales  install a ladder rack which will hold our solar panels and crafts booth....we also bought a LP Gas tank holder & cover because it never hurts to carry extra cooking & heating fuel .

I've built one of the Shelf units and also added a lower section to the ladder racks that will hold our new crafts booth & a ladder...when I have the time & extra cash I'll build the other shelf/work table unit and install that in the trailer.
Note The 3rd picture above shows the aluminum 1X2's I added to the ladder rack and the 4th picture shows our Crafts Booth situated on the lower section of the Ladder Rack

July 13th 2008 ...I built the other shelf and workspace section the other day .... made sure it was attached in a strong way to the floor and walls of the trailer ...then I added the webbing with snap-locs that we typically use to secure stuff in our rigs. We've found this is a very good way to secure stuff and works much better than bungee's do.
I attached the webbing to the shelves by cutting a tiny hole in the webbing ,then pushed a 1/4" bolt w/ a washer through it ... drilled out a hole in the shelf and bolted the webbing to it.
I also picked up a couple of plastic hose holders and bolted those to shelving unit .
Still need to add the webbing/snap-locs to the bottom sections and when that's done I'll start on the interior lighting and other electrical details...
Note : I originally had planned on buying shelf units from the building supply store ,but after looking at them , I decided the best route to take was to build our own units that were specifically designed to hold what we needed  .... as far as their weight goes ....
I constructed the shelves framing and uprights out of 2x2"s and the shelf tops out of 1x2"s ,glued & screwed together....so they're very strong and also lightweight in comparison to the better quality metal shelving units ....

August 9th 2008 ... been busy with a lot of stuff ....put a bunch of vents on the trailer to help cool it down a bit and installed 4 6-volt T105 batteries in 12-volt configuration....then got our 4 solar panels installed and working ....
